INFLUENCERS: Press release 3

INFLUENCERS: A reminder!

INFLUENCERS is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme. It officially started on the 1st of September 2019 and gathers 6 partners from Cyprus, France, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Portugal.

INFLUENCERS is in the process of developing a bespoke online social entrepreneurship curriculum specifically designed for young people living with a disability or a long-term health condition, as well as a curriculum to build the digital and social media literacy skills of this next generation of social media influencers, to ensure that they are properly equipped to deal with threats that may arise in the course of developing their online social enterprise.

Additionally, an in-service training programme is planned to support youth workers to deliver the new online social entrepreneurship curriculum and digital and social media literacy curriculum in appropriate learning environments.

All these resources will be available on a bespoke online learning environment.

The project was originally scheduled to end in August 2021. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and, therefore, the restrictions placed on partners hosting face-to-face training days with young people and youth workers and events to promote the project, the project has been extended for a further 6 months, so that we can complete our work with young people living with a disability or long-term illness.

We hope that this will give us the opportunity to organise an international training event in Portugal in September 2021 before launching our local training sessions from October to December 2021 in all partner countries.
